Elie M. Ferneini, MD, DMD, MHS, MBA/HCM, FACS, FACD

Dr. Ferneini is a practicing Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in Cheshire Connecticut.  He is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University (B.S.), Quinnipiac University (M.H.S., M.B.A.), University of Connecticut (D.M.D., M.D.). Dr. Ferneini completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and is currently an associate clinical professor at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He is also an associate clinical professor of Surgery at the Frank H Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.
He has a long history of conducting research resulting in over 135 scientific publications and book chapters. He has lectured nationally and internationally. He is on the editorial board of multiple scientific journals and a member of numerous professional organizations. He is also the Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Ferneini is a co-editor of nine textbooks on all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as facial cosmetic surgery. He lives in Hamden Connecticut with his wife and three children.

Dr. Andrew M. Sohn, Oral Surgeon, DMD, MD

After obtaining his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Sohn completed his general surgery internship from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Oral & Maxillofacial surgery residency from St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital System in Manhattan. At the conclusion of his residency, Dr. Sohn returned to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for a one- year clinical fellowship in maxillofacial surgery specializing in areas of trauma, reconstructive and corrective jaw surgery. At the completion of maxillofacial surgery training, including  orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery and implant dentistry, Dr. Sohn provides care in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with advanced experience in wisdom tooth removal, comprehensive reconstruction and bone grafting, dental implants, corrective jaw and TMJ surgery, Dr. Sohn then dedicated himself to an accredited one-year fellowship in cosmetic surgery with Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center in Abilene, TX with Dr. Howard Tobin, one of the pioneers in the field of Cosmetic surgery. He concluded his formal training with a second one-year fellowship in cosmetic surgery at Tulsa Surgical Arts with Dr. Angelo Cuzalina. With Dr. Sohn’s extensive training, he is excited to participate in all aspects of cosmetic surgery. Dr. Sohn is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Dental Association, American Medical Association, Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Texas Dental Association. He is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.

Dr. John R. Nesiba, MD, DDS

Dr. John R. Nesiba is a triple–board certified surgeon, who has devoted his life to medicine and surgery.  He is both a licensed dentist and a physician.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

He earned his doctorate in dental surgery degree in 2009 from the University of Nebraska – College of Dentistry in Lincoln Nebraska. After graduating from dental school, he completed a 1-year internship at The University of Nebraska Medical Center where he gained extensive training in correcting jaw disharmonies.  Following this year he spent 1-year at LSU, in New Orleans gaining extensive knowledge in facial cosmetic surgery and post-traumatic facial reconstruction.

Dr. Nesiba then chose to pursue residency training at the Detroit Medical Center. During his 6 years in Detroit, Dr. Nesiba had extensive training in facial reconstruction, pathology of the jaws, orthognathic surgery, adult and pediatric anesthesia, as well as endosseous implant placement and wisdom tooth extraction. While in Detroit he also earned his Medical Degree from Wayne State University in 2015. During his residency, he completed a 1-year General Surgery Internship and served as Chief Resident for the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, at Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Eager to continue growing as a physician and a surgeon, Dr. Nesiba pursued further training and was chosen for the extremely competitive fellowship in General and Facial Cosmetic Surgery at Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates in Oklahoma City. During this year he completed over 1000 cosmetic surgical procedures.  He also served as faculty at the Oklahoma University Medical Center, working with residents while they fulfilled their requirements for plastic surgery. Dr. Nesiba continues to practice cosmetic surgery at Flourish Surgical Arts, in Aurora Colorado.

Dr. Nesiba is a musical enthusiast attending numerous concerts every year and playing his guitar to anyone who will listen.  In his spare time, Dr. Nesiba enjoys spending time outdoors and behind the grill with his wife Dr. Pota Rakes (who he met in Dental School), his two daughters Angelina and Elleni, and his son Johnny. His family moved to Colorado in 2018 and is excited to call Colorado home.

As a dual degree, triple-board certified surgeon, Dr. Nesiba is able to provide the highest level of facial care available. Andrew Schneider DDS

Dr. Andrew Schneider was born in New York, NY and is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo. He obtained his Dental degree at SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He proceeded with one-year General Practice Residency at University of Washington and continued his training with a second-year residency at UW Hospital and its affiliated Harbor View Hospital. During this time, he focused his training in oral maxillofacial trauma and head and neck cancer surgery. He also completed training in the UW Oral Medicine Department focusing on Temporomandibular Joint Disorder management and spent time managing patients at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Dr. Schneider practiced dentistry for several years in an underserved area of Wisconsin with a highlight in oral surgery and removable prosthodontics. Thereafter he moved to Las Vegas, NV where he practiced for the last nine years in the private and cooperate sectors, focusing on fixed prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, placement and restoration of implants, and the delivery of Botox and Dermal Fillers for therapeutic and esthetic purposes.

Dr. Schneider is a member of the American Dental Association and Nevada Dental Association. Dr. Schneider continues to reside and practice in Las Vegas, while enjoying a life with his wife and four children.

Dan Jenkins, DDS, LVIF, CDE-AADEJ

Dr. Jenkins is practicing dentist in California with 40+ years clinical experience. He is an instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is Editor for several dental organizations – including the American Association of Dental Editors & Journalists. He has also lectured on various topics in dentistry including lasers, CAD-CAM, cosmetic dentistry, TMD, practice management, oral-systemic connections in dentistry/medicine, and as a trainer for the First5 organization to hospitals, medical and dental offices on caries prevention. ANGIE WALLACE, RDH

Angie has been a clinical hygienist for more than 30 years and has used lasers for more than 20. She obtained her advanced level proficiency, educator and recognized course provider status, and mastership from the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD). She currently serves as chair for the ALD Education Committee, cochair for Regulatory Affairs, and on other committees for the ALD Board of Directors. Wallace is an international speaker who teaches laser courses and webinars, and she consults with several laser manufacturers. She is also an in-office laser consultant, providing laser certification and training courses. Wallace has coauthored a book about laser hygiene.

Dr. Edward E. Herschaft DDS

Dr. Herschaft received a BA degree from Queens College – City University of New York, a DDS from West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry, a certificate in oral and maxillofacial pathology from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Orleans.
