Dr. Dayne R. Jensen, M.D., D.M.D. : Triple Board Certified

Dr. Jensen, was born and raised in Utah. As a scholar athlete, he received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, while playing football. He then received his first graduate degree indentistry at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dr. Jensen graduated Summa Cum Laude and received multiple awards during his time in dental school.

Elie M. Ferneini, MD, DMD, MHS, MBA/HCM, FACS, FACD

Dr. Ferneini is a practicing Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in Cheshire Connecticut.  He
is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University (B.S.), Quinnipiac University
(M.H.S., M.B.A.), University of Connecticut (D.M.D., M.D.). Dr. Ferneini completed his
oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and is currently an associate clinical professor at
the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He is also an associate clinical
professor of Surgery at the Frank H Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.
He has a long history of conducting research resulting in over 135 scientific publications
and book chapters. He has lectured nationally and internationally. He is on the editorial
board of multiple scientific journals and a member of numerous professional
organizations. He is also the Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Cosmetic
Surgery. Dr. Ferneini is a co-editor of nine textbooks on all aspects of oral and
maxillofacial surgery as well as facial cosmetic surgery. He lives in Hamden Connecticut
with his wife and three children.

Dr. John R. Nesiba, MD, DDS

Dr. John R. Nesiba is a triple–board certified surgeon, who has devoted his life to medicine and surgery.  He is both a licensed dentist and a physician.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

He earned his doctorate in dental surgery degree in 2009 from the University of Nebraska – College of Dentistry in Lincoln Nebraska. After graduating from dental school, he completed a 1-year internship at The University of Nebraska Medical Center where he gained extensive training in correcting jaw disharmonies.  Following this year he spent 1-year at LSU, in New Orleans gaining extensive knowledge in facial cosmetic surgery and post-traumatic facial reconstruction.

Dr. Nesiba then chose to pursue residency training at the Detroit Medical Center. During his 6 years in Detroit, Dr. Nesiba had extensive training in facial reconstruction, pathology of the jaws, orthognathic surgery, adult and pediatric anesthesia, as well as endosseous implant placement and wisdom tooth extraction. While in Detroit he also earned his Medical Degree from Wayne State University in 2015. During his residency, he completed a 1-year General Surgery Internship and served as Chief Resident for the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, at Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Eager to continue growing as a physician and a surgeon, Dr. Nesiba pursued further training and was chosen for the extremely competitive fellowship in General and Facial Cosmetic Surgery at Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates in Oklahoma City. During this year he completed over 1000 cosmetic surgical procedures.  He also served as faculty at the Oklahoma University Medical Center, working with residents while they fulfilled their requirements for plastic surgery. Dr. Nesiba continues to practice cosmetic surgery at Flourish Surgical Arts, in Aurora Colorado.

Dr. Nesiba is a musical enthusiast attending numerous concerts every year and playing his guitar to anyone who will listen.  In his spare time, Dr. Nesiba enjoys spending time outdoors and behind the grill with his wife Dr. Pota Rakes (who he met in Dental School), his two daughters Angelina and Elleni, and his son Johnny. His family moved to Colorado in 2018 and is excited to call Colorado home.

As a dual degree, triple-board certified surgeon, Dr. Nesiba is able to provide the highest level of facial care available. Dr. Andrew M. Sohn, Oral Surgeon, DMD, MD

Andrew M. Sohn grew up in Philadelphia.  He attended Bucknell University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology.  After college, he moved to Pittsburgh where he received his dental degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental medicine.  From there, Dr. Sohn moved to Dallas, TX where he practiced dentistry for 6 years. Dr. Sohn went on to attain further surgical training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. After obtaining his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, he completed his general surgery internship from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Oral & Maxillofacial surgery residency from St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital System in Manhattan. He returned to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for one- year clinical fellowship with Dr. Mark Ochs in maxillofacial surgery specializing in areas of orthognathic(corrective jaw)trauma and implant surgeries. Upon completion of his maxillofacial surgery training, Dr. Sohn completed his training with a one-year fellowship in cosmetic surgery with Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center in Abilene, TX with Dr. Howard Tobin.

At the conclusion of his training, Dr. Sohn returned to DFW where he practices full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition to his interest in orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery and implant dentistry, Dr. Sohn provides care in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with advanced experience in wisdom tooth removal, comprehensive reconstruction and bone grafting, dental implants, corrective jaw and TMJ surgery as well as full scope of cosmetic surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Dental Association, American Medical Association, Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Texas Dental Association. He is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.

Dan Jenkins, DDS, LVIF, CDE-AADEJ

Dr. Jenkins is practicing dentist in California with 40+ years clinical experience. He is an instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is Editor for several dental organizations – including the American Association of Dental Editors & Journalists. He has also lectured on various topics in dentistry including lasers, CAD-CAM, cosmetic dentistry, TMD, practice management, oral-systemic connections in dentistry/medicine, and as a trainer for the First5 organization to hospitals, medical and dental offices on caries prevention. Christine Haskin, MS, DDS, PhD

Dr. Haskin received a BA in Microbiology from University of Texas at Austin, a MS in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from Texas State University. Her dental degree is from UTHSC Dental School at San Antonio and her PhD in Cellular and Structural Biology is from UTHSC San Antonio Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She completed a GPR in Hospital Dentistry at the UTHSC and Medical Center Hospital. She is a Professor-in-Residence in Clinical Sciences at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. She has been an infection control inspector for NSBDE since 2009. In addition to lecturing on infection control, she also lectures on the clinical impact of systemic disease on the delivery of dental care and dental pharmacotherapeutics.

Dr. Herschaft received a BA degree from Queens College – City University of New York, a DDS from West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry, a certificate in oral and maxillofacial pathology from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Orleans.
