Philanthropy is defined as the desire to promote the welfare of others.  Dr. Jensen has several organizations and causes that are near and dear to his heart.  While in high school Dr. Jensen actively participated in the “Best Buddies” organization which served the special needs students in his area.  He developed a love and admirations for these students and felt as if he could provide them a voice.  He secured a large educational grant allowing their educational experience to be customized to their individual needs.  This passion continued on into his college years where he served as the President of the Winter Special Olympics for his local chapter.

While serving in Northern Brazil as a Mormon Missionary Dr. Jensen came to understand true poverty.  He found that even though these people had nothing they were kind and compassionate.  His love for, and experiences amongst these beautiful people created a burning desire to always give back.  Dr. Jensen views his opportunity to give back through charitable surgical work both locally and abroad.  He embraces any opportunity to assist in bettering an individual’s life.
